About the store
I am currently in my fifteenth year of teaching. As a qualified primary school teacher with focused training in Special Education and Mathematics, I have had the opportunity to teach children in a variety of roles including: Kindergarten, Grade1/ 2, Behavior Support, Grade 4/5, as well as a Grade 6. In addition, I have taught in a variety of countries: England, USA, Canada,Thailand, and Guatemala, giving me an appreciation and understanding of the cultural aspects associated with teaching and learning.

Developing Vocabulary and Oral Fluency: Interactive Fun With Pets
This activity pack includes three fun and interactive games, a picture pack of 12 colorful pet cards with pet clues, images of the outside and inside of a pet store to use for dramatic play areas, as well as links to the Common Core for Kindergarten and First Grade.
The purpose of the activities is to develop vocabulary and oral fluency through speaking and listening, as well as reading, writing, and inquiry skills using play to facilitate development in these areas.

Mental Math Starter A Day
Provide students daily practice in mental math - supporting their understanding of key mathematical vocabulary and mental math concepts.
Daily practice fosters a supportive environment where children develop confidence with mental math, gaining accuracy and speed in solving problems, while teachers use formative assessment to measure student progress.

To start the lesson, have children work for 15 minutes in partners, or individually to answer as many of the questions as poss
