A GREAT activity to help students understand fractions and also equivalent fractions. Allows students to use fruit loops to manipulate the fractions into different groups and also record on the activity sheet.

This power point includes the French explorers of the new world. It includes slides on Sieur de La Salle, Jacques Cartier, and Champlain. It includes important information on each, maps of their explorations, pictures of them, and what they did. Great as a visual for learners or an introduction to French explorers, or as a guide for taking notes!

Christopher Columbus, Ponce de Leon, and Hernando De Soto quiz. Tests students on the dates of their voyages, what they wanted to discover, and their impact on the world today. Mostly short answer and essay answer. Look for the free study guide!

This activity combines the rocks used in the rock cycle and inferencing. Has inference questions for five sedimentary, three igneous, and three metamorphic rocks. A fun way to have students remember those tough rocks while reinforcing the strategy of inferencing.

This is a powerpoint that touches upon each of the three kinds of rocks, how they are made and examples of them. Very kid friendly with pictures and definitions to go along.

Uses higher thinking words (translation, rotation, refelection) but could be easily made to relplace with slide, flip turn. Has a 4.0 (bonus) question as well. Has students DRAW what the shape should look like, not just identify. Great for a quiz, review, or morning work.

A final comprehensive test on the Rock Cycle. Includes minerals, the three kinds of rocks, and different tests on those rocks. Comes with a study guide too!

I have students use a Time for Kids, National Geographic, or something informational. You can have them cut out and paste in the features or draw them. Great for workshop!
