Teaching style

My teaching style is structured, explicit, and system-based. I believe students grow best when instruction is: • Clear and predictable • Broken into manageable steps • Built through repetition and progression • Focused on confidence before complexity I design my materials the same way I teach in my resource room. Skills are scaffolded. Formats stay consistent. Students learn the structure so they can focus on the skill. I prioritize: • Intervention-ready materials • IEP-aligned growth • Small group efficiency • Reducing overwhelm for struggling learners My goal is simple: build systems that create measurable growth while saving teachers time.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I measure success by student growth. Some of my proudest teaching moments include: • Watching students achieve IEP goals earlier than expected • Supporting students successfully transitioning from resource support to more independent classroom learning • Building structured systems that other teachers now use in their own classrooms • Seeing students gain confidence in skills they once avoided Real progress. Real confidence. Real classroom impact.

My own education history

I have been a General Education teacher since 2019, working directly with students in the classroom and building structured academic systems that support real growth. Through my classroom experience, I developed a strong passion for intervention and supporting struggling learners. That passion led me to pursue my Master’s Degree in Special Education, which I am currently completing. My graduate studies focus on: • IEP development and compliance • Structured literacy and intervention strategies • Behavior supports and inclusive practices • Data-driven instruction Earning my Master’s in Special Education reflects my commitment to continually improving as an educator and building systems that truly support student success. I believe strong teachers never stop learning.

Additional biographical information

Outside of the classroom, I am passionate about building systems that help both students and teachers succeed. I enjoy developing structured academic resources, studying instructional design, and finding ways to make intervention more efficient and impactful. Zap Ed began as materials I built for my own students. It continues to grow as I refine and expand those systems to support teachers everywhere. I believe education should build confidence, clarity, and real growth.
