I have taught first grade for 34 wonderful years! Creating educational materials has been so much fun and I'm thrilled to be able to share them with other teachers here on TPT!! I specialize in resources to use in a k-2 classroom. Use this game to practice spelling ANY word or word list. My students practice spelling sight words and spelling words, but it could be used with any word list (months, colors, numbers etc.).
Students need a game board (there are 2 game boards on each sheet), a single die, words to practice (a list or maybe words posted in the classroom) and a way to record the words. My students use iPad apps for recording. Dry erase slates or the included recording sheet could be used as well.

I want my students be excited to learn new things and to be proud of their accomplishments! My classroom is a busy, busy place! My students are encouraged to take risks and to make mistakes! When a student makes a mistake and learns something new, I always say "WOW, we just watched you get smarter!" I hope they will always feel safe enough to take risks and learn something new!
