WHAT'S INCLUDED? (PRINT AND DIGITAL)
Game 1: Who's Got the Answer?
Students read and solve the problem. Then, they give the star to the person with the correct answer.
Game 2: Solve the Problem
Students read the 2-step word problem. They fill in the first step in the first box and the second step in the second box.
Game 3: Act It Out
Students act out each multi-step word problem by dragging the objects into equal groups, circling the operations used, and writing the answer.
Game 4: Circle the Keywords
Students circle the keywords in each word problem and then fill in the equations/answer at the bottom.
HOW TO IMPLEMENT:
There are 11 problems included in each of the 4 games (total of 44 questions).
Digitally: The first problem is always an example for students so they know what to do. I would recommend completing 5 questions during your lesson together and assigning the other 5 for students to complete independently.
Print: Print the task cards out and put them in a math center. Have students record answers on the recording sheet provided. Students can use the self-checking answer key to check their work. You can choose between the color and black and white option.
