-Rounding to the Nearest Ten (Numbers within 100)
-Rounding to the Nearest Ten (Numbers within 1000)
The games are the same--the only difference is one has higher numbers. I use the first one when I first start teaching rounding and the second one when we are farther into our unit.
WHAT'S INCLUDED? (PRINT AND DIGITAL)
Game 1: Dot It! Plot It!
Students move a blue dot where it belongs using the number line to plot the number. Then, they fill in the orange box.
Game 2: Ice Cream Rounding
Students come up with three numbers that round to the number at the bottom and type them on the ice cream.
Game 3: Sort It!
Students sort the numbers on the correct side while rounding to the nearest ten.
Game 4: Choose a Side
Students type in the two tens that come before and after the number. Then, they circle the number it rounds to.
HOW TO IMPLEMENT:
There are 11 problems included in each of the 4 games (total of 44 questions).
Digitally: The first problem is always an example for students so they know what to do. I would recommend completing 5 questions during your lesson together and assigning the other 5 for students to complete independently.
Print: Print the task cards out and put them in a math center. Have students record answers on the recording sheet provided. Students can use the self-checking answer key to check their work. You can choose between the color and black and white option.
