Students practice identifying beginning sounds using Google Slides™. This is the perfect kindergarten distance learning phonological awareness/ phonics assignment that can be assigned in Google Classroom™.

Students will drag and drop to sort pictures based on their beginning sound. Includes 4 pictures for each sound and 4 that are not that sound for each letter. Includes 26 slides, ones for each picture of the alphabet.

Also has "I Can" statements and instructions.

This assignment is not self graded but can be "turned in" and checked by the teacher using Google Classroom.

I have used this resource with in person and remote students. I post the slide for the letter of the week in my Google classroom for students to practice sorting by beginning sounds. Good resource for kindergarten.
