IDEAS FOR USE:

There are many different ways to use these activities.  Here are just some ideas.

Option 1: You can pick one of the activities that best suits the majority of your class and have your whole class do this one activity.

Option 2:  You can have some students do one activity while others do another. In this way, you can differentiate for different needs and abilities.

Option 3: You can have each student do multiple activities to gradually build up their understanding of the topic. For example, you might start of with the Fill In the Labels Activity to get students to label the structures and work on their spelling. After doing this, you can use the Drag & Drop Labels Activity as a review and reinforcement. The same can be done for the descriptions of the structures. They can do the initial research to complete the Fill In the Descriptions Activity and then test themselves using the Drag & Drop Descriptions Activity.

NOTE: The Fill In Activities are best used when students are initially learning about and researching the topic. The Drag & Drop Activities are best used when students are already familiar with the topic and they are using these activities to review. Alternatively, the Drag & Drop Activities can also be used in the beginning of a unit as a quick diagnostic to see how much students understand before diving into teaching the topic.
