Describing Igneous Rocks PowerPoint

This PowerPoint reviews how igneous rocks form and the differences between extrusive and intrusive igneous rocks. It was designed to accompany Describing Igneous Rocks Worksheet, which includes the notes that go with the first page of the worksheet, instructions for the rock activity, and photos of rock samples used in the activity. The photos are great if you don't have access to a diverse set of rocks, and/or to go over the activity as a class.

Due to clip art copyright, the images on the presentation cannot be moved or edited, but the text is editable.

I used this resource in the UK for a small group of children (yr 7, on the Autistic spectrum and a range of other disabilities). The quality of the presentation is brilliant. I have also downloaded the sedimentary rocks and metamorphic rocks for later use. I am a degree level geologist and I am very happy with the way these presentations get across complex ideas in a very child friendly way. I sent home resource boxes for the childen to use with these activities - a range of labelled rocks, lenses, a coin and a nail, sandpaper and a pipette and got the children to test them for hardness, durability, porosity and density and then classify the rocks as in the presentation.

My apologies, Ryenn! I checked the product itself and my product description and realized the language in my description could be easily misinterpreted. I've edited the description to clarify what is included for future buyers and requested a refund for you through TpT.
