Description
Just string, paperclips, and tape is all that's needed to make and test pendulums.
I pulled a few resources from "Pushes and Pulls", Resources for Teaching about Waves, and added many new ones to make this an easy resource for distance learning or independent activities, including:
- A How To guide that can be printed from a pdf file or edited in Word™. Students can watch a video that highlights the text as it is read for students who need to hear the information.
- A short text that explains the science behind the activity. A video highlights text as it is read or you can choose an audio file. These are saved in both English and Spanish with color or black line images.
- How to introduce the activities? Use 4 short videos that show the set up and what happens if you change the length, mass, or amplitude of the pendulums.
- A page with essay questions prompts students to describe the results. Choose color or black line images, English or Spanish text.
If you have a Google account you can transfer many of these resources and then add them to your Google classroom to share with your students. You can also print the How To, short text, and essay questions worksheet to share as an activity packet.
It's difficult to suggest a duration as it depends on the options you choose.
I have dozens of products you might consider for distance learning and force. This product was reformatted from Pushes and Pulls and additional resources added to make it ideal as an independent activity or distance learning. I combined Pendulums, Resonant Pendulums, Paper Helicopters into a ♥ bundle♥ of all three products to save you $$!
