Description

Get students coding with these unplugged coding programs with a Fall theme! This block style coding resource is a great introduction to coding without computers. Students will learn critical thinking and problem solving skills!

A digital version of this resource is also included (in color only) and is compatible with Google Classroom. Due to copyright restrictions, the graphics in the digital version are different but do not affect the resource.

This resource includes:

• Teacher Instructions

• Sample Coding Maps & Codes

• Student Directions

• Coding Maps (THREE Levels of Difficulty)

• Playing Pieces

• Path Pieces

• Code Worksheet

Feel free to use flat, square manipulatives for the Path Pieces if you have them! The Path Pieces are included as an option for those that don't have that type of manipulative.

Fall Coding Unplugged comes in color and black & white!!

TWO Programs:

• Help the Fall monster rake up leaves to make a big leaf pile to jump in.

• Help the squirrel avoid coyotes on his way to the oak tree to get acorns.

These coding unplugged programs are great STEM activities to be used individually, in pairs, or as a center!

It is very helpful to show the sample coding maps and corresponding codes that are included in this product and to code a program with students before allowing students to work independently. This resource is recommended for 1st through 4th grade.
