Reinforce comparing numbers in your first grade classroom with this hands- on, Common Core- aligned math activity! Go, No Go for Launch is a printable math center that will help your students practice comparing numbers using tens and ones. Use this center to supplement any standards- based, 1st grade math curriculum!
First Grade Common Core Math Standard:
1.NBT.B.3 Compare two two-digit numbers based on meanings of the tens and ones digits.
Directions: Place the “Go for Launch” and “No Go for Launch” cards next to each other. Shuffle the small Greater Than, Less Than, and Equal To cards and stack them in a pile. Choose one card at a time. If it is true, place it under “Go for Launch.” If it is false, place it under “No Go for Launch.” Write your work on a record sheet!
This printable math center includes:
- 2 sort heading cards
- 24 true & false cards
- “Directions” page, storage label, and a record sheet
- Color and black & white versions to help you save on ink!
