This was a lot of prep before hand, but is a great tool that I use during my social group. Not only is this helping start conversation, students are working on social skills and writing at the same time.

Thank you for your feedback Stephanie. I hadn’t thought about it being a lot of prep unless you are referring to students cutting out the images. While this makes the activities visual and fun, I’ve considered making the elements/concepts into a packet instead. I loved reading the excellent link you identified between social skills and writing. Yes!
