WHAT'S INCLUDED? (PRINT AND DIGITAL)
Game 1: Which One is Which?
Students decide if each card on the page is multiplication or division. Then, they solve each equation in the blue boxes.
Game 2: Solve the Problem
Students decide if the equation is multiplication or division. They point the finger towards the correct answer. Then, they solve.
Game 3: Act It Out
Students read the word problem and decide if it’s multiplication or division. They move the animals/items into groups to show their work. Then, they write the answer.
Game 4: Circle the Keywords
Students circle the keywords in the word problem to show if it’s multiplication or division. Then, they solve & type in the equation.
HOW TO IMPLEMENT:
There are 11 problems included in each of the 4 games (total of 44 questions).
Digitally: The first problem is always an example for students so they know what to do. I would recommend completing 5 questions during your lesson together and assigning the other 5 for students to complete independently.
Print: Print the task cards out and put them in a math center. Have students record answers on the recording sheet provided. Students can use the self-checking answer key to check their work. You can choose between the color and black and white option.
