The FREE November A Poem Each Week has arrived! Poetry is great for a read aloud and introducing and reviewing standards. This month we are looking at four Thanksgiving poems by Jack Prelutsky.

- The Turkey Shot Out of the Oven
- The First Thanksgiving
These comprehension questions and activities give students a chance to connect the poems to themselves and the world around them. Students also make connections to healthy choices, graphing weather, and learning the history of the First Thanksgiving.
