Pre Reader Initial Sound Center - Puzzler

***Print INITIAL SOUND PUZZLER has been updated and aligned to Science of Reading.

I am working my hardest to get digital updated as well. Date for digital TBA.

This has been updated with Science of Reading SOR aligned key letter sound cards.

Perfect for letter sound practice and also uppercase and lowercase matching.

You can use only the letter cards with the uppercase letter and match to lowercase magnetic letters. You can also use them with the initial sound cards as well.

I hope you find this helpful!

Meaningful, hands on phonics practice

PLEASE NOTE:

This listing is only for Pre Reader Initial Sounds.

Organization:

All sets have a theme. The theme is different for all sets. This is similar to fix it sentences so that your students can easily know what box set they are on. The recording sheet has the set picture on them to match set box cover. There are labels to the answer sheet so students know what color box goes with which numbers. There are labels for inside the large Iris Bin as well as for the "spine" of the small Iris boxes, making it even easier for students to find and return the boxes.

How I use this pack:

Students use the chart to determine what letter sound the picture starts with. They will then mix up the letters and find which word card it matches. Students will manipulate using magnetic letters. Then they will add it to their paper. There is an answer sheet to record the words on.
