Description

Help students to develop better independent reading habits with the Reading Habits Inventory. Students track their reading for a week, then determine their successes and struggles. Based on their findings, they set meaningful goals.

This is a great way to kick off any independent reading program and help students to understand the habits of successful readers.

This also works as a great start for reading interventions for struggling readers.

This is a great survey for students to use to reflect on how they read. My students realized they were not reading at home and saw how that reflected in their reading fluency on testing. I most likely will revise the survey slightly when I use it next year to reflect more of my personal reading program.
