Description

Solving one-step equations is the focus of these lessons, notes and practice activities. This bundle includes three complete lessons, a math wheel for notes, color by numbers, and Footloose task card activities (print and digital versions) and games.

In these resources, students will:

  • Solve one-step equations with whole numbers, using all operations.

Three Lessons:

Equations & Their Solutions

Addition & Subtraction Equations

Multiplication & Division Equations

  • Each lesson includes guided practice page(s), independent practice page(s), exit tickets
  • Print and digital versions

Math Wheel Includes:

1) THREE versions of the student wheel (3 versions of new and of original)

  • ‘Open’ for students to write notes: this version is most flexible, space-wise
  • ‘Fill-in’ notes, to help control student use of space
  • Pre-filled notes for new students, absentees, or students who need pre-filled notes; answers to examples and practice problems are NOT on this version

⭐️Each version comes with a patterned background and with no pattern in the background.

2) Teacher key/wheel with completed notes and examples for each wheel

3) Colored sample

4) PowerPoint file with two editable templates ~ you can add text to make your own wheels (for classroom use only - not commercial use)

One-Step Equations color by number includes:

1) Two Print versions

Version A:

  • Problem sheet with 20 questions
  • Coloring sheet

Version B:

  • Problem sheet with 20 questions (different from Version A)
  • Coloring sheet: same pattern as Version A – different colors

2) One digital (Google Slides) version

  • SAME problems and coloring as print Version A
  • Students type their answers in the answer boxes
  • Students use the ‘Fill color’ bucket to color the shapes
  • Questions are not editable (they are part of the background) but the shapes and numbers in the pattern ARE movable/editable.
  • Link to Google Slides version is in the PDF download.

4) A coloring page with no numbers, for students to color their own way, for fun:-)
