Description
Add some fun to your lessons with these task cards. Students will read short paragraphs and determine the nonfiction text structure of each paragraph.
Featured text structures include: description, cause & effect, compare & contrast, sequence, and problem & solution.
This download includes a student recording sheet, where students will write down their answers and allow teachers to check their progress. An answer key is included. There are 24 cards.
Print on cardstock or laminate to ensure these task cards last forever!
Learning Centers and Group Work
Allow students to sit with a group. Provide them the task cards and recording sheet. Students can take turns answering the questions on the cards. Provide the answer key so students can self-check their work.
Independent Work and Early Finishers
Students can work independently to answer the questions. Provide the answer key so students can self-check their work.
To Supplement Board Games
Grab an old game board (such as Candyland or Chutes & Ladders). Toss out the cards that came with the game board and replace them with the task cards. Students will advance through the game board if they are able to answer the questions correctly.
