This set of 50 riddle cards for place value to 1000 will challenge your students with both problem solving & place value knowledge! These fun mystery number task card activities for 3-digit numbers will strengthen both numeracy & critical thinking skills!

Here's what this resource includes.

50 multi-step place value riddle task cards for three-digit numbers in color

⭐ The same 50 riddle cards in black & white, as an ink-saving option. They print well on brightly colored cardstock!

⭐ A full page version of the same riddles, ready to display on your interactive board or a bulletin board.

⭐ An answer key for you and/or your students, provided in both color and b/w

⭐ A page for your students to record their answers

⭐ A coordinating board game for using the riddle cards in a math center or small group, also in color and b/w

⭐ Four task cards for independent use in math centers

⭐ Four blank cards, for your students to create their own riddles or task cards.

How will you use these materials?

* Daily spiral review

* Number talks

* Focus at the beginning of a lesson: Display a card on your interactive board. Solve it together. Or, have each of your students solve it independently and show you their answers by showing you their answer on their whiteboard.

* The range of difficulty will allow you to differentiate easily, keeping multiple levels of learners engaged in practice.

* An ideal activity for early finishers!
