Description
*Updated 5/21 Included in this lesson for writing equations is a 6 problem bellwork sheet to start the lesson, a guided notes sheet, a guided practice page, a learning check, and a sheet of practice that can be given as independent practice, partner practice, extra practice, or even as homework. There is a teacher notes page with suggestions as to how I fill out the note sheet in class. Keep in mind that you can add more words or take off some words. The words I include are the key words that we use the most in our classroom so feel free to make it work for you. I also remind them that there are way more words that mean to add and subtract than what we list and then I refer them to their notebooks where we wrote down those words in the beginning of the school year. The answer key at the end provides the answers to the guided practice, exit slip, and independent practice. The equations in this practice include rational numbers and are presented in the common core form of px+q=r.
