About the store
I have 35 years of teaching experience at Triway Junior High in Wooster, Ohio. After teaching 25 years, it was time for a change in my teaching style. Our school district had an in-service on creating PowerPoint lessons. I knew at this time this teaching method could lead me in the right direction. It wasn't long before I had created several lessons and started using them in my classes using a Smart Board I acquired which was sitting around collecting dust! My students really enjoyed this use of interactive technology. It wasn't long until I became comfortable making these lessons. I became an annual presenter at our state Math teachers' conference and was encouraged to continue my lesson development geared toward the Common Core Standards

Teaching style

I would frequently use PowerPoint Presentations which I created to cover several lessons. The visual potential with PowerPoint is very effective. Also, the worksheets which were created to complement the PowerPoint lesson kept each student actively participating in the lesson. Students can work on the problem on the interactive white board while students are solving the same problem at their seats. A remote mouse enables you to advance through the presentation while walking around the classroom.

Awards & shining teacher moments

4 consecutive years of presenting at the OCTM math conference in Ohio. Presented at the Middle School conference in Columbus, Ohio. Also, taught sessions locally for "Best of the Best".

My own education history

Additional biographical information

Over the past ten years, I have created many PowerPoint lessons which support the math objectives for grades 6-8. The visual potential and direction of these lessons, complemented with supporting worksheets, will enhance instruction and student involvement in your classroom. Hopefully, these resources are effective in improving your lessons and saving you time.
