This worksheet is for the beginning of the year in Kindergarten art. I have students follow along as we draw all seven types of lines. The way that they complete the last two "challenge lines" helps me to determine the level of difficulty that would suit them best.

This unit is for Kindergarten or First grade, working with clay. It is designed to be the students first time working with clay. We discuss the parts of the fish, the texture of a fish's scales and what you can do with clay. I give each student a day to get used to working with clay. They cut the clay with a popsicle stick, add texture with the curved edge of the popsicle stick, and press lightly with a marker cap for a fish's eye. They also create a cut out of a fish starting with an oval.
