This rubric is useful for grading math tasks completed in support of Common Core and the PARCC assessment. I left the document in a .doc file so that you can edit the wording for your grade level (this is the wording I used for 5th grade). This document is 4 pages long...each page is the exact same rubric. Print one page normal size and slip into a sheet protector for students to self-assess with a dry erase marker. Print 4 to a page and cut apart to grade students and attach to their work.

I have typed nine real life scenarios for students solve division problems. The stories are coded with graphics to help coordinate their record sheet. I use manipulatives at each station to aide include tactile learners. Manipulatives can be placed in a plastic bag. For example at the station in which balloons are being divided, balloons can be placed in a bag. This lesson is very engaging and fun. I use it in my 3rd grade class but it could also be used for 2nd or 4th.
