This scratch challenge sets up a graph for the students to translate, manipulate and interact with. Students are presented with code in scratch that already works and are challenged to manipulate it and interact with it to further their understand of graphing, y=mx+b and linear equations. No prior knowledge in coding or scratch is needed.
This challenge is based on the EQAO 2021 sample test and highlights the knowledge and skills needed for 1 of the 2 coding questions on the sample test. Students will explore mean, median and mode while programming in scratch. This handout assumed no prior knowledge in coding or scratch by the student or the teacher.

Students will be given code that already works, and be asked to read/translate it as well as modify it. This handout assumes students and teachers have NO PRIOR knowledge in coding.
