Letters of the alphabet are scattered around the coordinate plane. I use this for students to become familiar with the coordinate plane. I pair the students up and have then encode/decode messages from each other. I have also paired with the ELA teacher to give a spelling test. The kids loved it, but it was daunting to grade. Next time, I would offer a couple of bonus words with the coordinate spelling.

We used this graph during "V" week in our classroom and discussed healthy eating and vegetables. We cut up all of these vegetables and gave each child a sampler plate. We tried each one by one, deciding good adjectives to describe each. At the end, we let the kids vote on which their favorite was.
