It is common for elementary Montessori students to have a weekly work plan. This allows the teacher to guide the student towards work that should be completed over the course of the week. This document is intended for a teacher/parent to customize and print, but the student to maintain. I designed this to be printed double-sided. This is great to use in a classroom with a student that may need to set a daily goal. This theme was very effective with the boys in my classroom. I started with 4 road cones from a toy race car set, and when the student was not meeting thier goal, I would remove 1 cone. We would check in with each other at lunch and at the end of the day. Have students monitor their own behavior with a daily class behavior log. Great tool for identifying times during the day when students struggle with behavior or work completion.

Fun with shapes and playdoh
This is a fun activity to do with small children.
With the playdoh, they have to make the shape and place it inside the shape. This promotes and increases fine motor skills and manipulation.
If you feel the playdoh is too easy or simply want to change the activity, allow the child to make a shape within the lines of the shape, without any deviation.
This activity also promotes visual motor integration, which in the long run helps with their handwriting skills.
