Accommodations Checklist for Classwork and TestsThe Accommodations Checklist for Classwork/Tests is a practical, easy-to-use tool designed specifically for math teachers supporting diverse learners in inclusion classrooms. This checklist helps teachers quickly identify, document, and implement appropriate accommodations that ensure students with varying needs can access grade-level math content without lowering academic expectations. This claim sheet requires students to use the 8 Mathematical Practices as they understand, solve, model and explain and argue that their thinking is correct. I has been using this sheet for over twelve years and I average 40 % growth on SBAC state testing.

Studies show that if children practice one strategy for a series of days that their success rate will increase.
In my classroom, we take the pretest the week before we are going to start the 20 days of homework. They record their score on their data tracking sheet. Each day I give the students 1 problem to solve using the strategy that I want them to master. It is important that they only have 1 problem a n

Last year I created a "form" for students to fill-out when they did not have their weekly Homework ready to turn in on Friday.
This helped me when conferencing with parents. When the child had zeros on a progress report, I could easily take out the HW excuse forms filled in by the student. It did help the students feel more accountable.
You'll need to tweek it to your needs.
Enjoy!

Having students work on fast facts but not really tracking their own progress? This would be a great resource for your students. This is a word document set up for a 9 week quarter of tracking student progress. It can be changed to fit your classroom as you see fit. At the end of each week, students will find their weekly average. At the end of the 9 weeks students will then create a bar graph charting their progress as a visual. I also have students use a highlighter when they reach their
