Science: The Making of Ice Cream vs the Freezing of Water
This lesson covers the freezing temperature of water and how it can be altered to lower the temperature at which water freezes. In doing so, students perform a lab to make their own ice cream. It also allows students to measure using a graduated cylinder and triple beam balance. Measurements are made in metric units. Also included are questions, a graph for students and several questions regarding the lab. There is also some ideas for extension activities.

Use this excel spreadsheet to monitor student progress. Monitor up to 10 goals in one spreadsheet. Includes a directions page to show you how to setup your progress monitoring spreadsheet.
