Spelling Rubric - within writing

Need Some Help? A color coded self referral system for students.
It seems like everybody wants to see the counselor, and sometimes it's difficult to tell which requests are actual emergencies and which ones could wait until later. The "Need Some Help?" system gives students the opportunity to judge the severity of their needs before they request the counselor's assistance. Their requests are also color coded by severity, so you can quickly prioritize which kids you should see first.

For newcomer students who are just learning the English language, this is a great resource I created to scaffold students into being graded for work and effort. You can use the resource to have a grade for students and it provides a way for students to attempt work without being punished for not having fluent linguistic skills.
