Rubric for Assessing Recorder
This rubric gives you a simple, yet precise way to assess your recorder students. It has seven areas to assess including pitch, rhythm, intonation, articulation, posture, fingering and style. It also allows you to mark whether the student received a recorder karate belt and which color they received. I typically don't print this out, but input everything on the computer. After spending hours grading essays, I developed a quicker rubric that cut my time in half. I found that I was writing the same comment on many papers. Basic Articulation Rubric
Super basic articulation rubric for kids to monitor each other and themselves when speaking. I usually do this a few times a year. Each student fills out a form on each speaker and one about themselves. These print 2 per page and could easily be laminated and reused. (Sample activities would be having the student report on menus from restaurants, tell how to do something, retell a story, or describe a picture scene.)

What subject are we doing? (I did multiple choice answers)
What is your name? (they fill in their own name)
