Multiplication and Division are the most prominent skills in 3rd Grade math. These timed test are a great way for students to learn their facts. I start by doing the multiplication timed test ( which are easy to find online.) When students have completed through their 12's, they begin on their division facts. I use this individual tracker to measure 5th grade students' multiplication fluency. Instead of recording the grades in the gradebook, I have students fill in their scores on this sheet each time they are assessed, approximately every 2 weeks. Students are motivated when they improve their scores and continue to review their multiplication facts (0-12). If a student's score drops,he/she is reminded to have a growth mindset and strive to improve on the next assessment.

This is an Excel worksheet with 9 clocks, that refresh randomly to produce any number of random print outs. There are three levels (Challenging, Really Hard, and Nightmarish!), corresponding to Easy (K, G1), Medium (G2, G3) and Hard (G4, G5).
