I use this to help hold students accountable when they are not turning in their work on time. Directions for students: · Staple this pass to your late assignment. · I allow two OOPS passes per semester. · I reserve the right to NOT accept the OOPS passes on certain assignments or projects. Learning an Instrument
This is a little powerpoint I put together to help my students stay true to their instrument goals and to help me keep track of it all for easy access. It also helps them to see other student's goals because it keeps them accountable for what they are learning as well as challenges them to reach for goals they may not have otherwise tried. It is also good for them because they can ask students with similar goals if they want to learn with them, or create a band. My 6th graders LOVED it.

Do you use a reading basal program in your school district? I am required to use a program like that, but wanted to create a way for my more advanced students to be able to move ahead, while still meeting the school requirements. This is the reading contract that I use with them. It covers a two week period, and can be adapted to your own room and reading program.
