Free! Editable bar graph worksheet (gifted and normal)
This is an editable bar graph worksheet (you can add your own questions) and differentiated for gifted students as well (two sets of data--boy/girl).
Students will come up with their own survey questions and then survey the class and collect data to make their own graph, then answer questions based on their graph.
When I did this lesson, I had students write down three questions on the day before the actual bar graph lesson so that I could pick one that would make most sense on a bar graph. Y

I Spy Measures of Center and Variability

Each clue will lead to an answer for a prize...(I usually did free time on math games.) Mr. O’s Multiplication Dice Game!
This is a fun way to have students practice multiplication between numbers 2 to 12. I would assign this as a fun "homework" assignment to play with a parent/guardian (or an older family member/friend) to reinforce their comfort of foundation multiplication. Two players will play a friendly game using multiplication and two six-sided dice. The highest score after 6 rounds wins! Players take turns in each round and will add up the sum in each round.
