This is a lesson for suited for WIDA ACCESS Level 1 and 2 English Language Learners, however, it can be used for any introductory pH lesson. The lesson begins with the idea of splitting a water molecule and the resulting ions. Next the pH scale is covered, then a short lab using stations where pH of different substances is measured. The substances used are at the teacher's discretion. The lab report is written in a simplified scientific investigation format.
