Math Task Level Rubric
This rubric was created by my 4th grade math students to determine their level of participation and understanding during an activity. They wanted to see what a successful attempt at a math task would look like. They wanted to compare where they were academically at the beginning of the year to where they are now. This rubric is very simple and student friendly. It should generate a lot of conversations from students regarding their ability to accomplish a task.

Quadrilaterals Notes and Graphic Organizer
These are two notes pages that I used to teach my students how to sort Quadrilaterals. We color coded similarities on the table, and then went through how to use the flow chart in order to describe and definite different types of quadrilaterals.

These documents provide details on how to tackle mathematical problems that require students to explain how they got to their answers. It also includes two rubrics that focus on accuracy and content.

Word Problems Guided Response with Problems
This 11 page packet revolves around word problems. As teachers we all know the pivotal role that word problems play in the lives of students, since it answers the ubiquitous question, When am I ever going to need this?
