This rubric was created by my 4th grade math students to determine their level of participation and understanding during an activity. They wanted to see what a successful attempt at a math task would look like. They wanted to compare where they were academically at the beginning of the year to where they are now. This rubric is very simple and student friendly. It should generate a lot of conversations from students regarding their ability to accomplish a task.
