This goes along with the root beer reading activity but this deals with multiplication word problems. I've seen struggles with interpreting word problems. I also left some practice problems dealing with finding the missing numbers and multiplications of threes. Let me know if you have trouble with the downloading and the formatting. This is a one period activity/lab to teach students about the concept of density and Archimedes Principle, why things float. Students each get a piece of aluminum foil and design and make a boat.
