I wanted a project that would let my students apply their consumer math knowledge in a real life scenario. The project has them tract income and expenses over two months with the information they are given. They need to calculate take home pay, buying clothes and food, determining a cell phone plan, buying gas. Throughout they need to calculate unit rates, discounts, tax, tip, markup, ratios. Final product is checking account and savings account registers. File is Word for easy changes.
