Pattern Block Ratio Projects
This is a simple, yet very engaging activity that you can use to enhance your students' learning of ratios and ratios in simplest form. It uses the typical pattern blocks that you see in most classrooms, yellow hexagon, red trapezoid, etc...and it allows students to get in groups and create whatever they'd like. I've had students create Minion replicas, flower gardens, houses, words, and even cars out of these pattern blocks and they are amazing!

Get Active with Input/Output Numbers - Junior Patterning/Algebra
This is a power point DPA game that I designed to break up a long math block. The class will be given an input number and a pattern rule and must find the output number. Each output number corresponds to a physical activity that the class must then perform.
Once the class has solved for the output simply click on the pattern rule to reveal the answer and physical activity.
