This quiz overs both 7th grade common core math 7.G.2 and 7.G.3. Questions include defining triangles as unique, ambiguous, or nonexistent. There are also questions asking students to solve for missing angles and to determine the possible lengths of a third side of a triangle. The end of the quiz is over cross sections.
An examination on angles and their properties which includes the following concepts classifying types of angles (acute, right angle, obtuse angle, straight angle, reflex angle and angle of revolution)Measuring angles on a protractortriangles properties (angle sum of a triangle, naming a triangle base on its angles and lengths)Vertically opposite anglesangles on parallel lines (corresponding angles, alternate angles and co-interior angles)determining missing angles through problem solving questio
Hi everybody! Welcome back to Geometry. This product is a double sided QUIZ that is 8 questions long. I use this for my 9th grade Honors Geometry class, but it can be used for 10th grade Geometry also. The topics included in this quiz are: 1) Dilating triangles (identifying the center of dilation and the ratio of the scale factor) 2) Dilating a line segment (remains parallel) 3) A 3-4 step similar triangle using Angle-Angle 4) Solving proportions given similar triangles 5) G
Grade 1 Geometry Quiz. Students are to identify 2D / 3D shapes and their properties. This prints properly - not sure why the preview doesn't show the product correctly. The columns that appear on 1st page - will actually download and view in their proper spot (on the second page).
2D - students are to fill in the blanks and draw each shape.
3D - students are to draw lines connecting shape names to shape to its properties.
A Quiz on Area of Parallelograms, Triangles & Circles. This quiz accompanies Unit 4 of Pearson's Grade 7 Math Makes Sense Textbook. The Resource contains a 3 page quizand a 3 page retest; both with full answer keys.
This is a quiz covering the volume of Cones and Cylinders. It has good visuals and is easy to read for the students. No trick questions. The formulas are given, but can be deleted easily if needed. It looks to have downloaded as two pages, but can easily be edited to make it one page. I have tests available as well that cover volume and surface area.
Aligned with Chapter 7 of the Glencoe-McGraw Hill Geometry Textbook, this is a quiz over some of the tools of geometry including solving proportions and finding unknown sides of similar figures. It was intended for a remedial high school geometry class, so would be appropriate for middle-school aged students as well as a quick review for higher-level learners.
Let your students try solving for many angles inside & outside a circle using all the properties they know about circles and arcs cut by secants, chords, and tangents.
AmericanPi - Composite Figures Using Scale andPercents
This real world activity has students finding the area and perimeter of composite figures by addition. Students will then use this information to solve real world problems, such as the cost of paint to paint one irregular shaped wall (including a discount and tax).
It should be taught after students have already learned how to calculate percentages.
This activity includes 2 sets of multi-step composite/complex figures problems. Each set h
This is an assessment about triangles. Topics covered on this quiz include:
Classifying Triangles by sides and angles
Solving for missing angles in triangles
Exterior Angle Theorem
Triangle Inequality Theorem
Special Segments-angle bisectors & medians
This can be used as a formal in-class assessment or as classwork practice problems or a review homework assignment.
It's made in Microsoft Word so it can be easily modified.
This is a formative assessment (quiz) on geometric similarity, simplifying radicals, ratios and proportions, and "stacked" triangles (similar triangles which share a vertex).
There are two versions of the quiz, and each quiz is two pages, for a total of four pages.
Please download the pdf preview file first, so you can see exactly what's included; the product file is a word document, which you may personalize for your students.
Immediately before this assessment, I use the worksheet named 'Us
This is a quiz that ensures the students understanding of the relationship between area and perimeter. Student wll need to use some information about one to figure out the other. Students will also need to figure out largest or smallest perimeter for a given area. Students will also need to find the area and perimeter of irregular polygons.
Your purchase comes with the quiz pictured above. I used this quiz to figure out who needed more practice and who was ready to move onto the Volume of Cylinders, Cones, and Spheres.
This is an assessment tool to see how well students can write and solve one-step as well as multi-step equations. There are basic equations to solve along with word problems to decontextualize.
This quiz tests students knowledge of basic geometry terminology through matching and one construction. I have included four different versions of the quiz to discourage cheating amongst students. This quiz covers material required by the CCLS.
Learning Target: I can use my knowledge of surface area and volume to solve real world problems about cylinders and rectangular prisms. The document will be a word download so you can edit as needed.
This is a quiz that requires students to "write" the definitions and to tell the angles that satisify the definition. It includes: vertical, linear pairs, alternate exterior/interior, same-side exterior/interior, adjacent angles, and corresponding angles. A picture of parallel lines with angles numbered is included.
This is a true/ false quiz containing pertinent information about pi. There is an answer key included. There is 1 extra credit opportunity whereby the student creates a word problem using pi. Thanks ever so much for visiting and supporting our humble shop. Excelsior!
**Great for students who were absent from class and/or struggling in need of remediation... This package contains a private YouTube link to click/watch a 9 minute tutorial video (written and narrated by me) regarding the topic of triangles, particularly the introduction of the Pythagorean Theorem. ---The link ("URL") is listed at top of the very first page of the accompanying video quiz (10 questions with answer key included). Perfect if you wish to have students learn the introductory concepts
