Coordinate Graphing Battle Ship

The game was created to review coordinate graphing in the first quadrant. I can recreate to incorporate other quadrants if you need those. The game is play just like the board game Battleship. Students call out coordinates and map them on the record sheet to try to be the first player to "sink" a ship.

Slope Intercept Form Activity

Objective: This is an activity to help students understand graphing lines in Slope-Intercept Form. Each side of the activity has a variety of lines that, when graphed correctly, create a hidden picture! The first side will create a swan, while the back is a little more advanced and will create a fish! Students enjoy trying to figure out what type of picture is hidden behind all the math; this is a great puzzle activity and a great “thinker!”

Line of Best Fit TI-83 Calculator Steps (step-by-step directions handout)

This is a document that can be used as a handout for students to help walk them through the steps on the calculator of finding a line of best fit for data. These are steps that are made for a TI-83 or TI-84 PLUS graphing calculators. It walks them through how to enter the data into a table, graph the data as a scatter plot, and find the Linear Regression line for the data. These steps are very detailed and it has helped my students tremendously!!!

Graphing Pictures Summative Project Task

Ms Halls Help
I used this project as a summative project task. Students are given an image to recreate in Desmos. I had them submit via a Google Form, but I unlinked it in this doc so you can make your own. Make sure that know how to use the correct link in desmos so that they don't lose all of their work (I had a few students not listen and copy and paste directly from the search bar, which is just a blank graph). My students LOVED this project! Edit the rubric to fit your needs.
