Vector Project Rubric
This is a rubric for a student group project. Students are asked to make a poster about vectors. Students must write their own story using vectors, magnitude and direction, graph the result, draw a picture related to the story, and solve the other groups' problems. Students will present their problems and solutions to the class.

Unit Circle (Color-coded)
This is a fully-labeled, color-coded unit circle. The angles with the same reference angle are labeled in the same color to help students. The image in the Word document can be copied and pasted so it can easily be incorporated into a presentation such as Powerpoint or Notebook file for reference during lessons.

Mathematician Project and Rubric
Cross - curricular project including research, computers, and oral presentation. Includes the rubric for easy grading. Has suggested websites for the kids to use and some famous mathematicians. I recommend partner or small groups for the project.

Piecewise Pictures - Graphing and Creating Piecewise Functions
This is a two-part project. There is a sample rubric attached as well as a sample of student work.
Part 1: Students will graph a piecewise function with 20 intervals using constant, linear, absolute value, and quadratic functions. Once graphed, the picture will look like an animal that they can recognize if they completed it correctly.
Part 2: Students will create their own piecewise function and the corresponding graph in order to create their own picture.

Population and Exponential Functions
This population activity is a fun, interactive, and technology-rich way for students to explore exponential functions. Using a smartphone or tablet, students scan the given QR code and are connected with current population data from across the world. The students then use exponential functions to predict future populations. Closing this activity with a class discussion helps to incorporate aspects of Social Studies, and it makes this a great cross-curricular lesson.

Unit Circle and Special Right Triangle Flip Book Project
I made this project into a book. The book includes a cover page, and several pages covering topics including: Special Right Triangles, Radian Conversion, Special Angles, Sine, Cosine, and Tangent of special angles. Rubric included.
If you set it to print two pages to one, not including the rubric at the end, you can fold it into a booklet and pages will be in order!

Unit Circle Project
Students will use their creativity to think outside of the box to create an artistic representation of the Unit Circle. My students loved this project! I also had the students create their own rubric to accompany the project. I found that students made the rubric more challenging than I would have.
Examples from my classroom are included to help spark creativity.
