Preschool Special Education Daily Communication Note (Editable)
Daily communication to parents is so important, especially in a special education classroom. I created an easy to edit and easy to use form to send home daily communication to parents via pen and paper, typed and printed or conveniently emailed to parents. Directions are included in how to fill out and email easily.
The form is edited through powerpoint and filled out on Adobe. Make sure you have access to these formats to ensure proper use.

For Early Childhood Special Ed educator out there, this is a communication log I personally use.
It is made to save papers, but still able to get the job done!
My lessons are routined and content remains very much the same for a whole month and to save time circling and marking at the end of each day, I created this log so that the only things you are updating are children's daily activities such as eating and potty. Enjoy :)

This is a form I created to identify areas that families would be interested in helping or sharing with the class through wow experiences. This form is directly linked to the Wow experiences identified in the six study guides from the Creative Curriculum, 5th edition. I have had great success in increasing family and community involvement using this form. I provide it to families at open house or during home visits and use the information gathered to plan for experiences throughout the year.

Poop/Stool Chart for Children
Gain insight into your child's digestive health by tracking his/her poop. Sometimes when children aren't eating or having stomach aches it is due to constipation. Regular monitoring of a child's bowel movements with this stool chart can help prevent constipation. Many kids poop daily but are still constipated so it is important to look at the shape which is a clue to the firmness. Numbers 1-3 show the child's BM is too hard suggesting constipation.
