I Have ...Who has? (4th or 5th grade Math activity)

This is a great first day of school or opening week activity to do with 4th or 5th grade Math students. You basically have a slip of paper with an answer/number and a question on it...the first person reads their question and who ever has that answers gets to read their question out loud and everybody gets to go once and who ever is last wins. Its fun. Just print it out, cut it out and pass them out. You can laminate them to use again.

I need to point out that this activity, as is, is specific to my room. I purchased my food items online. I uploaded this as a powerpoint file so that you could delete my pictures and use pictures that are specific to your room. This file includes a price sheet. You will need to cut out the prices and adhere them to your own items. I use this activity

I gave my students a handful of Lucky Charms and they made different arrangements of equal groups with the amount they had. Each time they would show me their equal groups, give me one division problem and one multiplication problem they see with their equal groups. Then, they cleared their paper and wrote the equations in the box. This can

This activity is set up as an independent learning center using manipulatives. The center also encourages students to count on by using different types of dice. The activity is easily customizable by changing the addition symbol or the type of dice your are offering. (mrsmeyer822) The sample image is not great, but I wanted to keep it customizable in Word. There are actually boxes for the addends as well. Check out more ideas on our blog at: http://owlsandowlsoffun.blogspot.com
