Then have them practice taking accurate measurements such as diameter, circumference, and depth. They can also use a balance to measure the mass of an item. Have them practice all these skills with a CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE! This is a great way to kick off a study of rocks and minerals or just to use to add some fun for measurements. Pass out a cookie and this worksheet and you are all set!
