McDonald's Menu for Math
This was a quick menu I made in order to practice money and problem solving with my resource students in grades 4 and 5. Students were able to count, add, and subtract money in order to determine how to purchase products off of the McD's menu. Students who struggled with reading could additionally point to the pictures attached to the menu to help describe what they wanted to purchase.

6th - 8th Grade Math Icebreaker Activity
This icebreaker is set up as a Bingo board. Each board displays basic mathematical questions that require students to ask questions to their peers and solve basic math problems. This activity is a great "first day of math class" activity because it gets students out of their seats, requires socialization, and it assesses basic math skills. My students really enjoyed it!

Array Sort - Cut and Paste
This activity is great for students that have trouble drawing arrays or have difficulty understanding the concept of arrays. Give each student a piece of construction paper to fold in half. Have students cut the heading words at the bottom of this sheet and glue one heading on each section of the construction paper. Next, have students cut out each picture and sort if it is a picture of an array or not. For pictures that are arrays, students can write the multiplication equation next to the pict

The user is given a budget, items with prices and friends with dietary preferences and needs. After the user chooses meal plan, he or she must then answer comprehension and critical thinking questions about diet, budgeting, and personal choices.

TEN FRAME WORKSHEET TEMPLATE
This worksheet is a simple singular ten frame worksheet designed for Kindergarten. Have children show number bonds with this by using different colored counters. There's empty space on the bottom for children to write equations or number bonds if desired. Teach teen numbers by demonstrating that numbers over 10 cannot fit in the ten frame by having them the extra counters below the ten frame to represent numbers 11-20! So many uses for this simple template!

Doubles Song / Doubling Rhyme / Multiplication / Two Times Table
I wrote this rhyme to help second and third-graders memorize their doubles facts. While they often could double 1-5 with ease, they tended to get mixed up with the products of 6, 7, 8 and 9 when multiplied by two. After "singing" this enough times, I could hear my students whispering the lines to themselves when doing computations! Eventually, as with anything that we memorize, they needed to refer to the rhyme less and less, and eventually it was committed to memory.
