This is a complete packet for a Realistic Fiction Writing Unit. It includes a list of useful mentor texts, 3 pages of mini lessons, 3 classroom posters to print (or include in student packet as a reference), a student planning pack with graphic organizers/planning pages, a Student Checklist, Writing Pages (2 types, cover, & About the Author page), and Grading Rubric. Appropriate for grades 2-4, but can be used in Grade 1 with scaffolding.
Directions are included in the packet. Basically, students move from seat to seat and write kind words to their classmates. This is a "Scoot Game" where students have a chance to visit each classmate's seat and leave them some kind words. This would be great for the End-of-the-Year, Valentine's Day, or anytime to promote kind words and Bucket Filling. This is a research reporting form that your students can use with Pebble Go - a subscription-based database for primary students. Students record questions, facts, vocabulary words, and can create a labeled diagram to go along with their research.
This comprehension packet is geared for 2nd/3rd graders and is pretty basic and simple. It is perfect for students who can decode accurately but are still building stamina and comprehension skills.
There are 1-3 questions per chapter.

This is a fun End-of-the-Year writing activity. Students fill out a "resume" for a spot in the next grade level. Students give their "experience", strengths, and goals for the upcoming grade level.

This is a simple math station for your students to practice their coin counting skills! Fill up some eggs with varying amounts of coins, label with the letters A-O, and have them use this FREE recording sheet to record the values within. An easily differentiated activity!
