This is a complete packet for a Realistic Fiction Writing Unit. It includes a list of useful mentor texts, 3 pages of mini lessons, 3 classroom posters to print (or include in student packet as a reference), a student planning pack with graphic organizers/planning pages, a Student Checklist, Writing Pages (2 types, cover, & About the Author page), and Grading Rubric. Appropriate for grades 2-4, but can be used in Grade 1 with scaffolding.
Directions are included in the packet. Basically, students move from seat to seat and write kind words to their classmates. This is a "Scoot Game" where students have a chance to visit each classmate's seat and leave them some kind words.
