About the store
I have been teaching for 12 years with experience at all elementary grade levels with the past 5 years as a district math instructional coach for the largest school district in NC. I've presented many state and local workshops and conducted district professional development for k-5 teachers in the area of mathematics. Now I am a curriculum coordinator and instructional resource for k-5 grades working to support all areas of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. I've developed many research based tools for learning and teaching and currently write assessments and curriculum for math based around the Common Core State Standards. This activity can be utilized in any math class for any math standard simply by inserting a math problem, a student's strategy, or a discussion question in the "think" section. Teaching style

My teaching style is hands-on, inquiry based techniques that are authentic and purposefully planned learning opportunities which are relevant to students knowledge and background. I believe all students should have the opportunity to access knowledge through rigorous instructional strategies that are scaffold which include the use of visible thinking and writing across the curriculum through integrated learning opportunities.
